CREATE: Travel Around the World

Thank you for your continued support and active involvement in our school community. We are excited to announce the upcoming CREATE session: Travel Around the World, which will take place on Friday, February 7, from 1:15 to 3:10 p.m. During this special event, we will host a variety of guest speakers who will share their unique cultures with our students.

As part of this celebration, we would like to invite parents or grandparents to lead four interactive sessions for a group of 25 multigrade-level students. These sessions will be repeated for different groups of students throughout the afternoon. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents or grandparents to share their culture by discussing elements such as traditional clothing, music, dance, art, special holidays, and celebrations. Additionally, we encourage presenters to teach the students a few words in their native language.

For the safety of all students, we kindly request that no food be brought to share due to potential food allergies.

By participating, you will help our students develop empathy and a deeper appreciation for the rich, diverse global community to which they belong. We truly value your consideration in contributing to this meaningful learning experience at St. Martin de Porres School.

If you are interested in leading a session and sharing your culture (for example, traditions, clothing, music, dance, or celebrations), please email Mme de Champlain by January 15 to let us know which culture or country you would like to present. More detailed information about the event will be provided as the date approaches. We are grateful for your time and support.
