God has gifted us with warm weather and beautiful fall days recently! It took a bit to get here, but now we are basking in the beautiful sunshine and continue to pray that our farmers can bring in their crops from the field! As the fall progresses; however, please remember to send your child(ren) with warmer clothes including hats, mitts, winter jackets, snow pants, and boots. When winter finally settles in, we want to remind parents and students that all children will go outside for fresh air as long as the temperature remains above -20*C (temperature and/or windchill).

Parents are strongly encouraged to sign onto both PowerSchool and Edsby to stay current with your child’s progress using the Edsby reporting system. As you all are aware, last year we moved to a live format whereby parents can access student progress anytime/anywhere 24/7/365.

Parent Teacher Interviews (PTIs) are fast approaching for the fall term. Interviews are currently being scheduled online for Monday, November 5 from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, November 6th from 3:30-6:30 p.m. It is very important that the lines of communication remain open between student, teacher, and parent to ensure that your child’s successes and challenges are discussed and the appropriate supports are determined for ongoing success.

Students have been enthusiastically participating in our monthly CREATE (Children Regularly Engaged Actively To Excel) sessions. With voice and choice, students choose 3 different sessions to expand their learning either physically, spiritually, academically, or social-emotionally. This is done by having more than 15 sessions offered for our students to choose from. Our upcoming CREATE is on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 31st (Halloween). STUDENTS ARE PERMITTED TO WEAR THEIR HALLOWEEN COSTUMES ALL DAY ON OCTOBER 31. PLEASE ENSURE THAT THEY ARE APPROPRIATE - NO MASKS, WEAPONS, BLOOD, GORE OR ITEMS THAT REQUIRE CARRYING PERMITTED.

Student photos will be completed once again by Lifetouch Photography on Monday, October 29 and Tuesday, October 30!

Ms. DeGraff and Mrs. Oslund have been working very hard this fall to prepare all of our students for the upcoming Christmas Production, “Straight Out of Bethlehem." PLEASE SAVE THE DATE for Wednesday, December 19th at 6 pm at the Red Deer College Arts Centre Main Stage. All students will be performing multiple times. Please invite family and friends to share the Advent message as we continue to celebrate the Fine Arts!

As always, Administration’s door is always open. If you have any ideas, suggestions, concerns or issues, please stop by and chat with either Mrs. Cameron or Mrs. McCullough!

Blessings to you all!
