School Hours

Supervision begins on the playground at 8:35 a.m. Please DO NOT send your children to school before 8:35 a.m. Students are to remain outside until the bell rings and then enter through their designated door. 

If your child is not taking the bus please be sure to pick up your child at the dismissal time. If students are not going directly to their parent's vehicle, the meeting point for all students is designated at the north side of the building by the Grade 1-3 doors, not the playground. Any students still waiting outside for a ride will be sent to wait at the office 5 minutes after the dismissal bell. For safety reasons, it is expected that children will leave for home immediately after school and not play or linger around school property.

The front doors to the school are open for washroom and emergency purposes. Students are to remain outdoors to play under normal weather conditions. If the weather is inclement, students may stay indoors in their classrooms at the schools' discretion. The school office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. All students are expected to go outside for recess unless requested to stay inside by their teacher. Please ensure that students are dressed appropriately for the weather.

During the cold weather, students will have the opportunity to go out for recess as long as the temperature, including windchill is not below -25.  When the weather does fall below -25,  students will remain indoors. Please ensure that your child is dressed for the weather, so they can enjoy the great outdoors! We kindly request families to mark items such as snow boots, running shoes, mittens, coats, etc. so that a lost item may be returned to the student.  

Students are supervised in their homeroom classrooms by their teacher during lunch.
